Team Clark
Team Clark is led by Indiana’s Caitlin Clark, who was the leading vote-getter, but has missed ten games this season due to various injuries. Clark injured her groin for the second time this season, and there’s a chance she could miss this game.
Clark’s Indiana teammates, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, could take up the hometown mantle. Phoenix’ Satou Sabally is planning to play in Indianapolis after an ankle injury.

But there is still a ton of talent on Team Clark, led by Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson. The three-time and reigning MVP is second in points (21.5), second in rebounding (9.1), first in blocks (2.4), and seventh in steals (1.6). New York’s Sabrina Ionescu will step up to take more shots if Clark is injured. Only Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier takes more shots per game than Ionescu, who is also ninth in assists (5.3).
Washington rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen were also selected by Clark. Golden State’s Kayla Thornton made her first All-Star game at 32 years old! New York’s Sandy Brondello will coach Team Clark after a draft-night trade between the two captains.
Team Collier
Team Collier is captained by, of course, the Minnesota Lynx star forward who is the runaway favorite right now in the WNBA MVP odds. Collier leads the league in scoring (23.9), she’s eighth in rebounding (7.7), fourth in blocks (1.6), and sixth in steals (1.7).
She’ll be joined by teammates Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride, who will replace the injured Rhyne Howard of Atlanta. There is also a chance that Chicago’s Angel Reese misses the game with a leg injury.
Napheesa Collier heads to her 5th All-Star Game as Team Collier captain for the FIRST TIME, representing the West 🌟

Seattle’s Nneka Ogwumike makes her tenth All-Star appearance, the most of anyone on either team. Rookie of the Year favorite, Dallas’ Paige Bueckers, makes the first of what should be many All-Star appearances, and you could see her captain a team in the future.
Breanna Stewart of New York joins the squad, and on the bench, you’ll see Los Angeles’ Kelsey Plum. She left Las Vegas after seven seasons, and is third in the league in scoring (20.1)
2025 WNBA All-Star MVP Odds and Prediction
| PLAYER | ODDS |
|---|---|
| Napheesa Collier (Minnesota) | +275 |
| Caitlin Clark (Indiana) | +300 |
| Sabrina Ionescu (New York) | +900 |
| A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas | +900 |
| Breanna Stewart (New York) | +1200 |
| Paige Bueckers (Dallas) | +1600 |
| Allisha Gray (Atlanta) | +1600 |
| Satou Sabally (Phoenix) | +2500 |
| Kelsey Mitchell (Indiana) | +2500 |
| Nneka Ogwumike (Seattle) | +3000 |
| Kelsey Plum (Los Angeles) | +3000 |
Collier (+275) is the runaway favorite in the WNBA MVP odds, and she is also the favorite to win the WNBA All-Star Game MVP with an implied win probability of 26.7%. Her fellow team captain, Clark (+300) is next with an implied win chance of 25%. As the team captains, these two might play the most minutes, although Clark just returned from a groin injury and might take it easy.
Next is New York’s Sabrina Ionescu (+900) and Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson (+900). These two have an implied chance to win of 10%. Dallas Paige Bueckers (+1600) offers a great return, and as a considerable favorite to win the Rookie of the Year, the former UConn star could be out to make a statement!
New York’s Breanna Stewart (+1600) plays a great all-around game, but even though she averages almost 20 points per game, I don’t know if she has the mentality to score at all costs. Atlanta’s Allisha Gray (+1600) and Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell (+2500) fit that mold. Los Angeles’ Kelsey Plum (+3000) has stepped out of Wilson’s shadow since moving to the Sparks, and her WNBA All-Star MVP odds are intriguing. She was the All-Star MVP in 2022.
Sabrina Ionescu COOKED last week 👩🍳
Ionescu averaged 19.8 PPG, 6.3 REB and APG while leading the @nyliberty to a 3-1 record

But I’m leaning towards Ionescu at +900 as the All-Star Game is tailor-made to her strengths. She likes to get up and down the court. Ionescu is averaging 18.8 points, which is seventh in the league. Ionescu has more of a scorer’s mentality, and when she gets hot, the former Oregon Duck might be the most fun player in the league to watch.
+900 is a great price to take Ionescu at, so let’s bank on the star Liberty guard here!
